Learn about and practice grayling fishing at East Lodge on the River Itchen near Winchester with Gilly Bate, celebrated fishing guide and casting instructor and Nick Measham, WildFish’s CEO – both of whom are fully qualified AAPGAI instructors who can help with casting issues too.

Gilly and Nick will discuss grayling habitat and their behaviour. They will explain and demonstrate:

• How to fish for them covering dry fly and various nymphing tactics,
• What rod, line and leader set-ups to use
• Fly and nymph selection.

Then you will fish for them with Gilly and Nick on hand to help.

During the lunch break, Gilly and Nick will welcome questions about any aspect of fishing – and Nick will talk about the wonderful work WildFish does to protect our fish and rivers.
